PROGRAMMING SERVICES AND SUPPORT

Pinnacle Development Group provides programming services to many companies throughout the State of Maine and beyond.  Here is just a sampling of some of the companies we have provided services to for a variety of projects using a variety of development tools.

IDEXX
Pinnacle’s programmer provides programming services in the areas of Excel and VB, as well as other tools as appropriate for a specific application for IDEXX Laboratories.

Maine Drilling and Blasting
Maine Drilling and Blasting had several existing programs that needed to be converted or re-written. Pinnacle staff in New Hampshire and in Maine assisted the company with a broad range of programming services.
Portland Water District
Portland Water District asked Pinnacle to develop a GPS logging application for use in the field. The application needed to perform two tasks: log cellular signal information (strength and location of the reading) and allow field agents to enter information about Water District assets (including accurate GPS coordinates for those assets).
 
Pinnacle developed a VB.NET application to make use of native abilities of the GPS-enabled cellular modem with which each field vehicle is equipped. The application allows field agents to enter asset information into a form, and upon submitting the information, captures the GPS location of the vehicle from the modem. Throughout their shifts, as agents drive from location to location, the application also logs the cell signal strength of the modem and captures the GPS coordinates for that reading. Portland Water District uses this information to map signal strengths for cellular service coverage.
SMRT
SMRT implemented a 3rd party accounting package, which is being used in the Florida and Maine branches of the company. The package, however, did not meet their reporting needs. SMRT contacted Pinnacle to assist them in clearly identifying the reporting needs of all departments, and to create the reports necessary to meet their reporting needs at all levels of the organization. The reports were created in Access against the accounting package's SQL Server database.
 
In addition, SMRT needed a system to track architectural projects as they progress through the processes at SMRT. A new application was created with a SQL Server database to track the progress of active projects in the firm. At any point in time, anyone in the organization can check the status of the project and review various points of information submitted by the architect and contractor.
Maine State Retirement System
 
Over the years, Pinnacle has provided a variety of programming support for the Maine State Retirement System, including database development, on-site support, and documentation services.

FMC BioPolymer
During the past several years, FMC BioPolymer, based in Rockland, Maine, has contracted with Pinnacle to develop a series of new databases.  Other projects have included database integration to eliminate data redundancy.

Maine Network for Health
Pinnacle supports this independent provider-owned service organization which supports practices, hospitals, purchasers and others by providing high quality, efficient and affordable services.
 
When Maine Network for Health purchased a third party program to record and store patient HRA data, they needed to interface the new one with current systems.
 
Pinnacle expertise with HL7 protocols assures that our Health Care clients will be in compliance with these and other standards.
