Help Us Help Our Neighbors
The Mid-Maine Homeless Shelter depends on individuals, businesses, community groups, foundations, religious congregations, and federal and state grants for continued support of our operating budget. MMHS is self-supported through campaigns, fund-raisers, and other grants.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Approximately two thirds of our money comes from donations and contributions made by local businesses, private citizens, fundraising events, annual appeals, faith-based organizations, and schools. The other one third comes from several competitive grants through Maine State Housing Authority, which are based on availability from HUD and the Maine State Legislature.
